I have begun to write a book on and off for the past 10-15 years. I started one, called “Shift Happens.” Stopped that one after about 10 chapters because I couldn’t keep up with the amount of “shift”. Read that as you may.

I started another one, along the same lines about 6 months ago. I since have paused that as well.

Both of those books are about my life. My personal life. The trials, the tribulations, the blessings and the battles. It became a bit unnerving to me as I was writing it because I had the thought, “folks are going to believe all of this!” “This is insane!” “There is no way!” And for other reasons I wont disclose here other than the revelations I was writing could bring about a major unveiling of things that might end up being the topic of rebuttal from some or getting an invitation for the Jerry Springer show, so I paused.

I may or may not proceed at some point with the idea of that book. Still thinking on it and praying on it.

I am thinking more now of writing a book about the decline of The American Church and the non-sense that goes on in the Name of Jesus in His Church today. It might make some folks angry. There are so many things that get blamed or claimed against Jesus for the sake of hyper emotionalism or self-gain or just pure manipulation. It is no wonder folks are having less and less confidence in “The Church” because of all these things and then some.

So why am I writing this blog post… Well, first of all, this blog is really an online diary and space for my thoughts. The book thing, I honestly can’t stand the idea of having a book published just because I am a pastor and that is what pastors tend to do. Preach, write a book, get some fame, sell books, etc etc. I am not interested in any of that.

I do however believe I have some things to say that might help some folks. After 20 years of occupational ministry and almost 46 years of living, I have learned alot of things and learned from alot of things. I may make a sermon series or 2 into a book.
