  • Transitions Transitions Transitions!!! Great things are happening at Oasis Church as we are implementing new media presentation computers (Mac!) and software, forming a new Finance dept to upgrade our accounting principles, hiring new staff, and moving into a new year with GREAT expectation!

We welcome aboard at the beginning of the year a new youth pastor to head up our student ministries and to pioneer a new move in the youth culture along the Gulf Coast. Our media department is upgrading to some much needed more cutting edge technology for presentation and vision effects in the main auditorium as well as we are upgrading the Higher Grounds Cafe to a new media projection system as well…

I reflect back on this past weekend as we started a new series titled “Blessed” and we saw at least 16 people give their heart to Jesus!!!

I am truly excited about 2010 as I believe it is going to be an unbelievable year for our church and The Body of Christ as a whole!!!

Have a great week! On to a strategy meeting now with all the leadership!

  • WOW! What a Christmas Experience at Oasis yesterday. I give props to my team and all the people involved to make this one of if not the most special Christmas Experience ever! There were 14 adults and 9 children who gave their heart to Jesus Sunday morning!!! The choir, all the singers, media team, greet staff, ushers, EVERBODY…. you guys are awesome!!!!!!! We had a packed house with many first time guests and it was just a special time…

Last night at The Heritage House, around 100 people came out for the Christmas meal and Fellowship party and that too was a blessing to me and my family. I am completely convinced now that the people at Oasis Church is the greatest bunch of people anywhere around!!!!

This week we start off with a funeral today for Ms. Debi Burgess. One who was involved heavily in our Celebrate Recovery program, Media team and Hospitality team. She is going to be heavily missed. After the funeral, planning meetings and staff meetings consume the rest of the day.

The people at Heritage House advised everyone last night that our crew was the nicest, most respectful bunch of people they have EVER waited on EVER!!!!! That makes me proud because you guys at Oasis are the best!

In closing this note, seeing people give their heart to Jesus yesterday encouraged me as it always does. That is what it is all about and all the work, planning, and hours of organizing for the CHristmas Experience was proven to be well worth it with that many people being impacted with the Message of Hope! God is so good and I am extremely thankful to have the opportunity to serve HIM by leading HIS church at Oasis! Have a great week!

  • Been praying alot today and yesterday about the direction The Lord wants for some key staff at Oasis. We are in transition in many areas and gearing up for 2010 in the midst of Christmas, New Years and budgets… yes… December is a very busy month! I will begin a new short series after Christmas titled “Blessed!” I am looking forward to starting the new year off right by challenging people to obedience so the overflow of God’s Blessings can flow over them!

Tonight my wife is talking in the mid-week Refresh so I get to take it easy and just enjoy tonight. As always, I know it is going to be very good and challenging! I cant wait!

We have our Annual Christmas Fellowship meal SUnday night at Heritage House in Moss Point, hope you can make it if you are a part of the Oasis Family!

Last note… Join with us by praying for us as we make some very strategic decisions in the next several days… pray specifically that The Lord will reveal His will and vision on all areas of note and continue to pray for The Harvest of souls in this Gulf Coast Region! Something great is happening and it is exciting to be a part of His Church in these days that we live!!!

    Be blessed!

  • Sunday morning we continued in the Message series titled “Christmas is For…” with a talk on asking forgiveness from those we have harmed in some way. The Highlight of the Experience was an ENTIRE FAMILY giving their Heart to Jesus!!! Dad, Mom, and kids!! AMAZING! That is what it is all about!!!!

Sunday night we traveled to Long Beach to minister at THE WAY church and man, the turnout from the Oasis Folks was AWESOME! There were more Oasis people than THE WAY people there! You guys ROCK! Toni and I love this church so much because of the love, dedication and faithfulness of the people! One young man came up to me last night after I preached on The Acts Functioning Church and told me he gave his heart to Jesus! He is about 18 or so years old! That is encouraging and if nothing else, he was the entire reason we were there last night!

Now comes the week before the Christmas Experience. I have an all staff meeting at 3:30 for planning and strategy for this weekend and then a Christmas play tonight at my son’s school (gateway christian academy). Busy day, busy week, but what an awesome weekend this past weekend and I cant wait until Sunday of this week to see more lives changed and transformed by the Power of our Living Lord and Savior!

    Have a great day all!!

  • Much has been said prophetically about a move of God and the things The Lord is going to do in His Church in these current days we live. It is very exciting to start seeing these things spoken of in the past coming into being. A great harvest of people coming to know Jesus Christ is occurring all across the world as The Lord pours out His Spirit. This to me is also an indication of the last days in which we live.

I attending the Alabama Prophetic Destiny conference in Daphne, AL last night with Kent Mattox, Paul Keith Davis and Churck Pierce. So many things said confirmed with me and others what The Lord has been revealing and doing already and what He will do. I believe The Lord positions us and aligns us in the place He purposes for us to be if we remain obedient to His Voice. There is a great alignment taking place right now so God’s plan and agenda for His Church can be fulfilled around the world.

There is so much happening and so many people coming to know Jesus that it really just excites me because above all else, that is what the Church is all about… reaching the lost. This is the season of Harvest. Souls into The Kingdom to accomplish the work of The Kingdom. People are being called, positioned and anointed to lead and to be pioneers of new creative ways to reach people with the truth of God’s Word.

I write that to encourage you today. Wherever you are, God has a purpose. Dont get depressed and dismayed… There is always a battle before a breakthrough and in this current time, I believe The Lord is responding to the obedience of His Children in such an overflowing way that it is going to get the attention of the world. Stay focused… Stay faithful… Be obedient… Jesus is still in control.

The best days for the church are ahead and ahead is not far away. As we enter a new year of 2010, get ready. He is positioning His Church in such  way that it will bring more glory to Him as people surrender their lives to Him. Embrace the moment and live faithfully in the place you are, because surely as you do, promotion to greater and better is on the horizon!

Have a great day! Hope to see you at Oasis on Sunday morning at 10:30! We will be ministering at The Way Church in Long Beach, MS Sunday night beginning at 6:00. The Church is 2 miles south of I-10 on Beatline Road. Take the Long Beach / Pass Christian exit. Church is on the right…

  • WOW! What a weekend at Oasis Church! At least 16 salvations in the one AM Experience! TRULY AMAZING! That never gets old! The hands went up so fast yesterday I almost choked up myself! It is truly amazing to see The Holy Spirit drawing so many unchurched lost people to His Church in these days we live. Indicates to me that the time is so short!

I have learned a few things… people desire truth in every aspect of life and my job as a pastor is to present God’s Truth even if people wont like it! We started a new series titled “Christmas is For… Giveness” yesterday and  man oh man!! HAve a I heard the stories today of How God is moving in people’s lives!

We will continue that next week as we continue in this line of forgiveness…  I really believe this Christmas is going to be very special, even more so than years past for most, because of what The Lord is doing in the hearts of His people…

Another thing I have learned as that people are going to let you down. Even those closest to you. Spouse, staff, family, whatever, people will fail you. All you can do is stay consistent yourself and not let it move you when others mess up. Have grace, mercy and deal with love, but always deal with integrity.

We saw close to 300 people at Oasis Church yesterday morning and I am learning more and more as this church grows, the more I am responsible for. It really is humbling and we all should make every day another opportunity for The Lord to humble us before Him and others as we advance His Kingdom in these last days! He is pouring out HIs SPirit and these are truly the most exciting times of all history!

  • Tonight is First Wednesday at Oasis Church and throughout today I have been praying and seeking God’s Word and direction for the Experience tonight. I believe He has given me something in relation to obedience to His Word. We will be talking tonight briefly from James 1… I encourage you to come out for this First Wednesday Celebration and time of Fellowship with other members at Oasis Church. The youth group will also be in the service tonight and not meet in Higher Grounds. Hope to see you all there!
