SAINTS WIN!!! The highlight of the nation yesterday was that the Saints won the Super Bowl! Boy, that makes me proud! I am glad they finally won one and I love the integrity and Excellence of the leadership of this Saints Team. From Sean Peyton to Drew Brees to others, noone is more well deserving than these guys!

However, Yesterday morning another game was won. At least 6  people at Oasis Church gave their heart to Christ and began a relationship with Him! The Bible says ANGELS rejoice in Heaven over each one who is born again! That excites me and makes me extremely thankful for what The Lord allows me to do for Him. I began teaching on a series titled “The Power of a God Encounter”. This series is geared to “the body” or to BELIEVERS to hopefully inspire them to fully Follow Christ in their walk with Him.

I am somewhat perplexed about several things I see happening in the church arena as a whole, not just Oasis, but THE CHURCH… Lack of integrity, honor and excellence seems to be the norm from not just church people, but leadership within HIS CHURCH. This truly cant be happening! Jesus has called us to live and lead as examples to everyone who may be observing or following us. JESUS DESERVES OUR BEST… NOT LEFTOVERS! We have to give HIM TOP priority Church leaders… We have to give HIM top priority PASTORS… we have to give HIM top priority CHRISTIANS!

What does that mean? Am I perfect? Not by a long shot! Ask Toni! But I know this, our desire should be to do the absolute best we can on our jobs, ministries, in our families, in our schools, whatever, so we can be entrusted with more and be an example for HIM! Too many people today just want to “get by”… just want to cruise under the radar screen and do just enough…. that AINT BIBLICAL!

I know I am ranting this morning, but I believe a total SHIFT is occurring in THE BODY of CHRIST and HE is Calling us to HIGHER level of OBEDIENCE to HIM and HIS WORD! That in itself will COMPEL people to want to know what you got or how you do what you do! Jesus!

Step up to the plate Church! Step up to the plate and become a FOLLOWER Of Christ! Jesus was and is always moving… are you?

Sunday morning we concluded the “Unstoppable” series and witnessed at least 6 people giving their heart to Jesus!!! Sunday night Encounter, at least 5 more gave their heart to Christ! THAT NEVER GETS OLD!!!

It was a great weekend as we talked on the Believer’s Authority or Unstoppable Authority Sunday night. The Lord is moving His Church into a place of operating and living in the authority that He has given us by His Spirit! We are called to live the UNSTOPPABLE faith!

Next week, we begin a new series that I have been working on for some time now titled “The Power of a God Encounter.” We will look at different places in the New Testament where people were changed when Encountering Jesus. I am looking forward to this upcoming weekend!

Wednesday night this week we are still in the “Laugh your way to a better Marriage” and of course, Forward Students are meeting in Higher Grounds.

On a more personal note, I really sense the Holy Spirit taking me deeper in my walk. I really feel and have a great expectation of things to come for the Gulf Coast Region and can hardly wait to see what He Does next. Sunday night Encounter this past week brought back memories when we first started seeing God Move in the church several years ago. It was exciting and it was Refreshing and proves again How Great our God is!

Ok, Yea… Where do I begin from this past weekend? What a weekend!!! Sunday morning, packed house with at least 14 people making decision to Receive Jesus in the Main Experience, 2 kids in “the wave” Children’s Ministries and last Wednesday @Forward Student Ministries at least 6 teenagers gave their heart to Christ!

Something is stirring folks! We will never be the same again! There is a harvest being had NOW~! It is not coming, IT IS HERE! As a pastor, nothing brings more excitement to me than seeing people surrender their heart to Christ for the first time. That NEVER gets old! The Experience this weekend was AMAZING! Oasis Staff and Leadership, YOU GUYS ROCK!

I love it when The Holy Spirit moves on people’s hearts and they walk out differently than the way they walked in! That is the way it supposed to be each and every time we come together! And…. And…. THE SAINTS WON! How does it get any better than that! lol!

Anyway, I am just pumped and super excited about this year and the things that is happening NOW in The Body of Christ. Churches and Church leaders are recognizing the need to lay down denominational and theological differences and allow JESUS to consume and position us to HIS desire! These are the greatest days!

Our Church Experiences, or services, should be a place where people receive LIFE! A REFUGE! A Place where they can meet JESUS and Encounter Him for Who He really is!

A young man got baptized this weekend because he had an encounter with The Lord Wednesday night at Forward Student Ministries and his heart has been set on fire by the Power of God! This youth generation is one that will not back down and is one that The Lord is raising up Strategically!

This week is Encounter night at Oasis Church as I will be speaking on the Believer’s Authority and we will begin a new series in February about Encountering God. I am really looking forward to all The Lord has for His Church and for all the people He will lead among our paths so we can BE THE CHURCH and show them who He really is and that He loves them so very much!!!

Well, the final planning day for our staff is today for the weekend Experience. I am so excited about the Sunday Experience this week! Our team has put together an awesome Experience this week and all and all we know LIves are going to be transformed and changed by the POWER of the Holy Spirit Sunday morning!

I am noticing in The Body of Christ that as we are in this “transitioning for positioning” stage, the attacks and the battles have intensified… that is common and should be expected. All believers need to understand that there is an enemy of your destiny and you need to rise above it in faith and authority and not get brought down by the enemy’s tactics and schemes. There is only a battle because there is a breakthrough on the horizon and this year The Lord is going to do some amazing things in The Church!

“Unstoppable” part 2 is Sunday morning as we talk about Unstoppable unity and Unstoppable partnership within The Body of Christ as a whole. Expecting many lives to be touched this weekend!

Last night our Student Pastor, Will Seymour, reported there were at least 6 teenagers who gave their heart to Jesus last night in Forward Student Ministries!!!!!!! There is an army forming amongst our young people!

We also started last night the “laugh your way to a better marriage” with the adults last night and will continue for the next 8 weeks in this great series on strengthening your marriage.

This past weekend I started the “Unstoppable” series at Oasis Church that is geared primarily to vision of the church and for our region… we were fortunate and blessed to witness at least 8 people give their heart to Jesus!!! During the Forward Student Ministries meeting last Wednesday there were over 40 youth there with at least 5 giving their heart to Christ!!! This excites me like crazy!!! The Lord is definitely moving in HIS CHURCH everywhere!!!

I am currently sitting in my office listening to our praise and worship leader and our student pastor and our media director sing crazy songs with their abundance of talent creativity that they possess… I am really proud of our staff at Oasis Church! Really… Makes me smile listening to them have fun and cut up… Reminds me… We really should have more fun as Christians than anyone on the face of the planet!

The Church should be the most happening, funnest place in our regions!

On another note, Monday’s are always busy and somewhat crazy, but after 3 meetings today and 1 counseling and administrative and creative brainstorming and planning, realizing that people’s lives are being changed every single time we come together and worship Jesus, makes it all worthwhile!!!!!!!!

I love my call and my job and I am again very thankful for an awesome team of leaders at Oasis that makes the vision and mission of the church a reality… Stay in it…

I stand amazed at all That The Lord is doing in His Church in these current days! We launched our New Student Ministries on Wednesday night with our new youth pastor, Will Seymour with over 40 teenagers in attendance and at least 5 salvations!

There is definitely something stirring!!! We have been honored and blessed this year already to witness at least 40 people give their hearts to Jesus and make the commitment to live for Him! I am expecting HIm to continue pouring out His Spirit and leading more people to connect with believers in these days so they can be lead to live in relationship with Jesus Christ!

The post I made a while back about Transitioning for positioning… I believe it is prophetic for this year. I believe we all are in positioning stage by The Holy Spirit to place us where we are supposed to be in our call to Build THE KINGDOM!

Keep your head high, walk with authority, and live the Spirit-filled life that Jesus paid the price for you to live!!!

Starting this past Sunday, we encouraged people to begin the 21 days of prayer and fasting campaign as well as the i-10 initiative. I want to fill everyone in on the details. First of all, the i-10 initiative is invite 10 people to church next Sunday morning and inconvenience yourself 10 times to do a random act of kindness in our communities. You will be surprised at how blessed you will be once you try this principle. Sunday morning we talked about generosity and the scripture records in Proverbs 22:9, “he who has a generous eye will be blessed!” Develop a generous eye. If you see a need, even small, meet it. Have an eye for generosity. This can change our region one person at a time!!!

Yesterday’s conclusion of “blessed” was great! We witnessed many people give their heart to Jesus, the message was so on time, the music was anointed and flowing great, Lives changed when these talks applied… PRICELESS!

We talked last week at Vision night the changes in culture over the past decade, the changes in our church the past 5 years…and talking about the things that will never change… That was interesting! In our Sr. Staff meeting last week, we talked about what the last 10 years brought and what things are going to look like in the next 10 years… WOW! There was no twitter, Facebook, or blogs in the church 10 years ago!!!!

If we are going to continually be the church God wants it to be…we can’t play it safe!!! Playing it safe has always been what the religious minded wants to do… we MUST be on the EDGE of the LEDGE when it comes to creativity and reaching people with the message!

The church isn’t a place for perfect people…it’s a place where imperfect people gather to worship a perfect God. The power unleashed in this brings the unbelievers to the place of repentance!

The Church must take on a different attitude when it comes to un-churched, unbelievers… we CANNOT expect non-Christians to behave like Christians…we need to be less concerned about their actions and more concerned about their eternal destination!

Jesus didn’t die on a cross so the church could control our behavior…but rather to UNLEASH the power of His Holy Spirit inside of us!

It’s so funny how the church will trust the Holy Spirit to work in a person’s life PRE-conversion…but POST-conversion their message to God is, “thanks for all of the amazing work You did, but we can take over from here!”

I say if we are going to believe in His Sovereignty then let’s believe in it completely…that the same God who drew them will keep them because they are HIS!  (Philippians 1:6 – ⁶being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.)

The church needs to stop trying to control people and begin releasing them to do what God said to do and be who God said to be!

The Gospel IS OUR MESSAGE…we have nothing else that can bring hope or heal hurt in people!

As long as Jesus keeps changing lives…people will keep showing up!

Within the next few weeks, we will be looking at multiple Experiences as I believe the building we are in now will become too small for one Experience in the coming weeks!

We are not the perfect church…but we will always strive to be the church Jesus has called us to be!

Initiated the i-10 Strategy yesterday… iNVITE 10 this week to Oasis next weekend and do 10 random acts of kindness this week to be generous in our community! I believe we can start a major revolution in this area if we adopt this principle…

You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occassion and through us your generousity will result in thanksgiving to God. 2 Corinthians 9:11

He who has a GENEROUS eye will be blessed!!!

My family was blessed at Ruby Tuesday yesterday for lunch as someone paid our bill for us… that was awesome!!!! It enabled us to pass it along and down the line to bless others!!!!!

There is NOTHING more powerful and/or relevant happening in the church than changed lives!

I am already looking forward to next week…more excited than a man should be about the incredible blessings God has placed in my life…Oasis , the BEST IS YET TO COME! Unstoppable begins next week! Invite people to church this week!

Wednesday night we met at Oasis Church to cast vision for the new year and WOW!!! You guys showed up! Thank you so much for the turnout Wednesday night to hear what the vision from The Lord is for this church in 2010! We introduced our new youth pastor, Will Seymour who will be heading up Student Ministries and we introduced all the Sr. Staff and some other staff members as we are encouraging EVERYONE to get connected somewhere and serve!

I am feeling The Lord prompting us in some things this year that is going to stretch our faith, but I am believing for one amazing year as we are just called to be obedient!

Thanks again for Oasis for showing up Strong Wednesday night!!!!!!!
